Watch ‘Feelin’ Alright’ Performed by Dave Mason and the Quarantines (Sammy Hagar, Michael McDonald, Mick Fleetwood and the Doobie Brothers)

Dave Mason has been busy … and this week, the famed singer/songwriter/guitarist premiered a new performance video for the Traffic classic “Feelin’ Alright,” alongside the Quarantines: an ensemble of fellow rock legends, among them Sammy Hagar, Mick Fleetwood, Michael McDonald and the Doobie Brothers.

This whole project is a bit of musical warmth during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a break from the stress of this tough time in the world and an opportunity for a few minutes of entertainment.
Who would have thought that this would go on to be covered by so many different artists and bands, you just never know,” said Mason in a statement (as passed along by Rolling Stone). “But what I do know today is that people need some hope and comfort and especially music, which is why I called up some friends to rerecord a special version of the song. To do this remotely was somewhat challenging, hence the name ‘The Quarantines,’ but the spirit of strength, hope and heart prevail.”

The song premiered on SiriusXM’s Classic Vinyl station this week and also features Mason’s drummer, Alvino Bennett and Pat Simmons Jr., son of the Doobies’ Pat Simmons.
