10-year-old music prodigy Nandi Bushell is making quite a name for herself these days, uploading incredible performance videos to YouTube showing off her skills behind the drum set or playing guitar — she can pretty much do it all. Her latest viral phenomenon came after Bushell challenged none other than Dave Grohl to a drum battle.

Yes, Grohl — known for his work behind the kit for Nirvana, fronting the Foo Fighters and generally being a living embodiment of the past three decades-plus of alt/rock. Since Grohl is such an affable guy willing to do pretty much anything for fun, he accepted Nandi Bushell’s challenge, sharing a video over the weekend demonstrating his commitment to this very important showdown.

It’s officially “on”:

Needless to say, Nandi was blown away by Grohl accepting her challenge, and she’s working on her response:

When finished, the Nandi Bushell vs. Dave Grohl drum-off will join this one from a few months back when Travis Barker and Nandi faced off:

And who can forget when Nandi met Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, one of her heroes?

This is what it’s all about, isn’t it? Bridging generations through the power of music.
