Playing the Beatles, the Who, Prince and More from Home, Adorable Family Band Colt Clark & the Quarantine Kids Deserve Your Attention

As long as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to dictate our collective way of life, folks will find a way to remain entertained — and over the past few weeks, a family from Tampa, Fla., has tapped into an irresistible means of entertaining. Colt Clark & the Quarantine Kids, they’re called, and they’re a family band featuring dad/musician Colt Clark and his three young children, Cash (10), Beckett (8) and Bellamy (six), who usually introduces the songs and dances around for the entire video, each time.
Together, they jam out in the living room of their home, covering classics made famous by the likes of the Beatles, the Who, Prince and many more. It’s impossible to watch any of their videos without smiling.
Seriously. Try to watch this rendition of some selections from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band:
Or this one, of the Who’s “Baba O’Riley”:

Or this one, of “American Girl” by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers:

Or Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy”:

Here’s “Don’t Bring Me Down,” originally by Jeff Lynne & Electric Light Orchestra:

The family’s YouTube page, which has become something of a phenomenon over the past month or so, tells their story:
Hello everyone! We’re the Clark family. Colt (the Dad) is a professional musician and Aubree (me, the Mom behind the camera) is a photographer. Together we home school our three children (even when we’re not in the middle of a pandemic). 🙂 We’re keeping busy during our time at home by learning a new song everyday. We thought we’d record them and share as we go. Hopefully it brightens your day!
Here they are covering Creedence Clearwater Revival‘s “Green River”:

… a song John Fogerty and his own family band, the ‘Fogerty Factory,’ performed recently at home in their own ongoing family band video series.

“I’m a Believer” by the Monkees is another highlight:

Their YouTube channel has many more videos just like the ones above, so give it a look and enjoy.
All this newfound attention earned praise from Ellen DeGeneres, and earlier this week the talk show host sent the family $20,000 as a special gift to the father, Colt, who’s been out of work for two months as a result of the pandemic.
Nice job all around! And keep up the fantastic videos, Colt Clark & the Quarantine Kids!
