This Friday, Nov. 22, Chris Martin and Coldplay will return with a new album, Everyday Life. The record was previewed with two songs already, but on Wednesday an additional pair of pre-release tracks made their way online to further ramp up anticipation.

Here’s “Daddy,” a sweeping, emotional song that features an arresting animated video accompaniment:

And here’s “Champion of the World,” which features a writing credit to Scott Hutchison of Frightened Rabbit, who died in 2018. As Martin explained in an official statement with the track, he was inspired by Hutchison’s “Los Angeles Be Kind”:

“Scott had a song called ‘Los Angeles Be Kind,’ which I love. When I first heard it, I thought it was going to go one way; but it went another. Anyway ‘Champion of the World’ is the song that came from following the other path, and that’s why Scott is a co-writer on this song. Today is also his birthday. So happy birthday Scott and thank you for your beautiful music, wherever you are.”

These two songs follow the previous two, “Orphans”:

And “Arabesque”:

Everyday Life will be Coldplay’s eighth full-length to date and the follow-up to 2015’s A Head Full of Dreams.

Here’s its track listing:
