Coldplay Shares Video for “Biutyful,” Starring a Colorful Band of Puppets from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop

Coldplay premiered a music video for “Biutyful,” one of the most dreamlike songs featured on Music of the Spheres, the band’s grandiose new record released in October of 2021. An elegant, uplifting song, the track’s new video was directed by Mat Whitecross.

Chris Martin and his band mates take a backseat in the clip to the Weirdos, a musical ensemble of puppets from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. After experiencing the harsh reality of being on the outside looking in on what is “accepted” in society, the band members find each other, form a group and become the biggest musical sensation on the planet:

A news release notes that The Weirdos’ lead singer Angel Moon has been a regular performer on Coldplay’s current world tour, singing Biutyful to more than a million people across Europe, the US and Latin America over the past four months.
