Coldplay and BTS “My Universe” is an Anthem of Absolutely Epic Proportions (Watch New Video)

Teased in recent weeks with a series of social media posts, “My Universe” is another new song from Coldplay and BTS, the unstoppable South Korean boy band with tens of millions of fans around the world. Needless to say, the melding of musical worlds bringing Chris Martin’s English pop/rock ensemble with one of the most popular musical groups of the present day came with heightened anticipation.

“My Universe,” then, is appropriately huge. An uplifting burst of positivity and a soaring chorus from Martin that is tailor made to be on rotation heavily for a while … the sort of song you’ll soon be hearing everywhere, whether you try to or not.
The music video for the song is fittingly grandiose, too:
“My Universe” is the latest preview of Coldplay’s new album, Music of the Spheres, which is due out on Oct. 15.

Thus far, it’s shaping up to be another smash-hit for the band, now more than comfortably in its zone as a powerhouse of emotional, earnest pop-rock. That much was made clear from the get-go, in this case lead single “Higher Power”:
Coldplay has long maintained an ability to slow things down and get experimental, however, and the sprawling, 10-minute album closer “Coloratura” did just that, with lyrical references to scientists and an undeniably dramatic feel:
As for the album’s track list, here’s that — and notice that five of the tracks are represented by emojis:
Higher Power
Humankind
Let Somebody Go
People Of The Pride
Biutyful
