Coachella 2022 Lineup Announced: Billie Eilish/Harry Styles/Kanye West to Headline

The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival unveiled its 2022 lineup on Wednesday for its planned return to the polo fields of Indio, Calif. in April. There hasn’t been a Coachella festival since April of 2019 due to the pandemic and subsequent delays, so to say the next one is “highly anticipated” wouldn’t quite do it justice.
In terms of the lineup, the headlining acts were majorly shaken up from what was first announced for 2020. Instead of Rage Against the Machine, Travis Scott and Frank Ocean, the 2022 lineup will be headlined by Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Kanye West.
Rage was rumored to have dropped off in recent weeks for reasons that have yet to be made clear, but it was announced a while back that Ocean would not be participating in Coachella’s delayed return. Scott, meanwhile, was officially announced to be off the bill in light of the tragedy at his Astroworld Festival in early November.
Weekend One (April 15-17) is sold out, but remaining passes for Weekend Two (April 22-24) will be going on sale later this week. Per a news release:
Register now for the weekend two presale and receive a unique code to purchase passes starting Friday, January 14 at 10 am PT. This is a presale and does not guarantee pass type, packages, or camping.
YouTube returns in 2022 as the official livestream partner for both Coachella weekends on the festival’s official YouTube channel, marking its tenth year streaming the fest to millions of music fans around the world.
