As expected given recent reports of its planned rescheduling, the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival will indeed take place over two weekends in April 2022, it was confirmed on Tuesday by Goldenvoice.

Coachella 2022 is set for April 15-17 and 22-24 in its return to the polo fields of Indio, Calif., with an advance sale going live (and likely selling out immediately) this Friday, June 4.

The news of Coachella ’22 comes after the 2020 edition of the mega-fest was upended by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the outright cancellation of a ’21 event due to logistical concerns of a mass gathering of that scale. Instead, it was all pushed to Spring 2022. The 2020 event was to be headlined by Rage Against the Machine, Travis Scott and Frank Ocean, though it remains to be seen if any of those acts will appear on the new lineup.

Additionally, Goldenvoice’s country music-themed festival, Stagecoach, will also return in April 2022, the weekend after Coachella events, it was also revealed on Tuesday:

Though the Coachella lineup has yet to be revealed — and may not be revealed prior to the advance sale later this week — there’s little chance it won’t sell out quickly. Those who held onto their original 2020 passes will be able to use them for 2022, once they are mailed new wristbands.

Also of note is a bit of a price hike this time around: A regular General Admission pass will set you back $449 + fees, the lowest of three “price tiers” that are being made available. For more on passes and to register for the advance sale, click here.
