Cheap Trick Gives David Bowie’s ‘Rebel Rebel’ a Makeover with New Jack Douglas-Produced Cover (Listen)

Power-pop legends Cheap Trick have shared a new cover of “Rebel Rebel,” the David Bowie classic that has become an integral part of Bowie’s inimitable legacy.
Produced by the renowned Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, John Lennon + Yoko Ono, Supertramp and more), the new cover can be heard below:

“Rebel Rebel” is the latest in a series of classic cover tunes from Cheap Trick. In December 2019, the band tried its hand at John Lennon’s “Gimme Some Truth”:
And here’s their take on Harry Nilsson’s “Ambush,” which appeared on a 2019 tribute album:
Back in 2018, the band also shared an original tune titled “The Summer Looks Good On You”:

The most recent album of new material from the band was 2017’s We’re All Alright!, which you can pick up by clicking here. The 10-song collection was co-produced by the band and Julian Raymond, and was the 18th Cheap Trick studio album to date.
