New from Cheap Trick: Stream the Raucous ‘Light Up the Fire’; Pre-Order New Album ‘In Another World’

Rock Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick premiered a new song on Thursday, a preview of the classic power-pop/rock band‘s 20th studio album. In Another World will be released on April 9 via BMG, and “Light Up the Fire” is the first song debuted from the record.

In Another World was produced by longtime Cheap Trick collaborator Julian Raymond, and is the first new album from the group since 2017’s We’re All Alright! and Christmas Christmas.

“This band is held together by music,” said vocalist Robin Zander in a statement. “It’s the super glue that keeps us writing and putting records out. The reason we started the band in the first place was to tour and write songs and put records out. If all that went away, there would be no point then, would there?”

The album will also include Cheap Trick’s recent cover of John Lennon’s “Gimme Some Truth,” which was premiered in late 2019:
