Watch Axl Rose Sing Guns N’ Roses Classics with Carrie Underwood at Stagecoach Festival

Scheduled a week after the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, the Stagecoach Festival brings together the biggest names in the country/Americana scene to the polo fields in Indio, Calif. — and just like Coachella, it’s a perfect setting for a surprise.
A big one happened this past weekend. During Carrie Underwood’s headlining performance, Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses turned up to sing two GnR classics, the iconic “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City,” setting the huge crowd into a frenzy of excited singalongs.

Here’s a reflection on this fun pairing, via photographer Jeff Johnson, who was lucky enough to document it (as seen earlier in Underwood’s post):
“I can’t even put into words the emotions I felt last night experiencing and photographing this moment. Knowing that a girl from a small town in Oklahoma got to live a lifetime dream in front of tens of thousands of people in a California desert last night just made my heart so happy. The energy of the crowd and the chemistry between these two on stage was completely immeasurable. This proves that dreams can come true!!”
