Calpurnia (Ft. ‘Stranger Things’ Star Finn Wolfhard) Premiere ‘Cell’ Music Video

Calpurnia, a rising young indie/rock band featuring actor Finn Wolfhard of the Netflix series Stranger Things, took fans on a behind-the-scenes look at tour life in a new music video for their single, “Cell,” premiered this week.
It’s the band’s first bit of new music since their debut , the bands first new music release since their debut EP, Scout. Here’s the video:
The music video, shot and directed by photographer Ponneh Ghana, is a combination of behind the scenes life on the road moments and live footage from their last two performances in Austin and Houston from their US Tour earlier this year. “Cell” was produced by Twin Peaks front man Caiden Lake and co-produced by R. Andrew Humphrey. The band sites notable artists like The White Stripes, The Beatles, Iggy Pop and The Shins as inspiration for their new song.
Some more about the video, from the band themselves:
While on our first ever official American tour, we had the pleasure of being joined by the incredible Pooneh Ghana for our last two shows in Austin and Houston. She is easily one of the most prolific and talented photographers (and videographers!) on the music scene right now, and so we left it to her to capture the joy and adventure of packing all your bandmates into a single van and hitting the road. This video is set to our newest single, Cell, and we sincerely hope that this video makes you at least a bit as happy as we are in this footage.
“This song is about being taken advantage of in anyway,” says Wolfhard. “It was amazing working with Cadien and Andrew again and I’m really excited for everyone to hear it!”
Calpurnia recently turned up in Weezer’s music video for their cover of A-Ha’s ’80s classic “Take On Me,” with Wolfhard portraying a young Rivers Cuomo:
