Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong Calls for Help After His 1962 Chevy Nova is Stolen from Southern California

In a post shared to his social media pages this past Saturday, Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong announced that his 1962 Chevy II/Nova was stolen. He shared several images of the vintage car in hopes of helping its chances of being spotted and returned:

My car was STOLEN 1962 Chevy II. This car is near and dear to all our hearts and has been in the GD family for over 30 years.

More details on the theft, per the Orange County Register:

The apparent theft was reported to authorities at 9 a.m. Saturday, Costa Mesa Police Sgt. Jerry Souza said. Investigators believe the classic car was taken from where it was parked on Victoria Street east of the Santa Ana River sometime after Friday afternoon. It remained missing as of Sunday.

Later this week, Billie Joe Armstrong and his Green Day band mates Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool will participate in the Super Bowl Music Fest event at Crypto.com Center in Los Angeles, sharing the stage on Feb. 12 with Miley Cyrus as part of the festivities building up to Sunday’s Super Bowl LVI from nearby SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
