New Billie Eilish: Watch Her Self-Directed Music Video for “Lost Cause,” from ‘Happier Than Ever’ Out 7/30 (Pre-Order)

2021 is shaping up to be another huge year for Billie Eilish, who will release her highly anticipated second full-length album, Happier Than Ever, on July 30.
On Wednesday, the internationally beloved pop/indie singer/songwriter debuted a new song, “Lost Cause,” as a preview of the record. In typical Eilish fashion, it’s lyrically emotive and quite stylish, compositionally, while its video (self-directed by Billie!) depicts Eilish and some friends having an eventful hangout session:
“Lost Cause” follows “Your Power,” another preview of the album that was shared in late April with another video (and a similarly hushed compositional style):
Despite her profile being higher than ever these days, Billie Eilish and her brother/producer/co-songwriter FINNEAS worked on the new music without any outside songwriters or producers, continuing a trend laid out by her breakthrough debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
