At long last, the anticipated third installment in the Bill & Ted film series is here: Bill & Ted Face the Music was made available for streaming (via rental) on Friday. Click here for a full list of ways you can access the movie via On Demand.

The film, featuring Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves reprising their beloved titular roles, saw its schedule plan affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. But rather than postpone the film indefinitely (as we’ve seen other film studios do with big titles of their own), Bill & Ted Face the Music was released right now — and, so far, it’s receiving strong reviews.

Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter sent a special video shout-out regarding the film’s release, thanking fans for all the support:

Speaking of Twitter, Winter and co-writer Ed Solomon will take part in a special fan Q&A session tonight, Aug. 28:

Join Alex Winter & co-writer Ed Solomon tonight as they hosts a most excellent #BillAndTed3WatchParty on Twitter joined by additional cast members, where fans can interact, ask questions, and experience the new film with the amazing cast and crew. Hit play on Friday, August 28 @ 6PM PT and follow along on Twitter!

Here’s the movie’s trailer, if you didn’t see it yet:

The original Bill & Ted films established the characters as cult heroes, but it’s been quite a while since fresh-faced Reeves and Winter began the saga of the lovable, time-traveling rock star wannabes.

If you’d like to brush up on their prior cinematic history, you’re in luck. Everything is pretty much streamable nowadays in one way or another, and the Bill & Ted films are no exception.

Meanwhile, the soundtrack album to Bill & Ted Face the Music was also released on Friday. It features songs from Lamb of God, Mastodon, Cold War Kids, Big Black Delta, Fidlar and Weezer — whose recent music video for their contribution featured a couple of very special guests …
