Beabadoobee Shares ‘How Was Your Day?’ Video, from Anticipated New Album ‘Fake It Flowers’ Out 10/16

On Oct. 16, acclaimed and buzzworthy 20-year-old indie-rock singer/songwriter Beabadoobee (real name: Bea Kristi) will release her debut full-length album, Fake It Flowers.

The album, which comes after a series of EPs and releases that earned Beabadoobee fervent attention around the world, has been previewed with a handful of songs leading up to its release. The latest is “How Was Your Day?”, a song/video that was shared on Monday:
“’How Was Your Day?’ is a track that explores all the relationships I neglected when I was away from home,” said Bea of the song in a statement. “I wanted to emphasize the rawness of the lyrics with the song sonically which is why I recorded it on a four-track with all the little mistakes and vocal wobbles included. I wanted the music video to feel nostalgic to me, to include all the people I cared about, it took me back to the time I first started making music.”
Just as with the song above, the singles shared ahead of Fake It Flowers burst with grunge-y, lo-fi indie/rock with elements of shoegaze and an undeniable knack for hooks. Here’s “Care,” the album’s opening track:
