beabadoobee: Stream “10:36”; Anticipated Sophomore Album ‘Beatopia’ Due 7/15; On Tour Now

A few years into her career, beabadoobee (project name of singer/songwriter Bea Kristi) has carved a spot for herself in the indie-pop world thanks to her musical roots equally split in 1990s-era pop and alternative/grunge.
As she readies her second full-length album, Beatopia, for a July 15 release, Kristi has now shared a single titled “10:36,” which landed on Wednesday:
Beatopia is the follow-up to her 2020 breakthrough, Fake It Flowers, which put beabadoobee on the map.
“‘10:36’ was written after Fake It Flowers and just before Our Extended Play, and I had envisioned it to be on that EP, but I was just sitting on that riff for ages and then I properly made a demo during lockdown,” shares beabadoobee on the single. “It was called ‘10:36’ because that was the time I finished writing it. It’s basically about how I have this weird dependency on human contact to sleep.”
