Bayside Returns with Riffy “Strangest Faces,” Ahead of Co-Headlining Tour with Thrice

Queens-based alt/punk band Bayside returned on Wednesday with its first new music since 2019’s Interrobang album, and “Strangest Faces” is a decidedly riff-heavy slab of energy from the group.
“Writing riffs and making heavy music is fun,” said Bayside front man Anthony Raneri of the track, adding, “We’ve always had that kind of influence and we leaned into it a lot more with Interrobang‽. We wanted to see how far we could take injecting heaviness and riffs into melodic punk music.”
This new music comes after Bayside went out on the 21 Years of Really Bad Luck tour to commemorate more than two decades as band. That span has seen the release of eight studio albums, countless tours, multiple Vans Warped Tour runs and the building of a reputation around the scene as one of the best live bands around.
