Ashe is a rising star in the indie/pop scene, and if there’s one thing to know about her (born Ashlynn Wilson, she takes the ‘e’ in ‘Ashe’ as an homage to Carole King) — it’s that she has a strong affinity for her musical influences.

This Saturday, Ashe will pay tribute to her all-time favorite album, the Beach BoysPet Sounds, with In My Room: Celebrating 54 Years of Pet Sounds, streaming on YouTube at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT.

As Ashe told Variety, she’s excited about this livestream event presenting an opportunity to introduce Pet Sounds to even more new fans:

“I think it’s going to be really cool to introduce all of our fan bases to an album that maybe they haven’t heard before,” she says. “That seems crazy to me because it’s always been my favorite album since I was a little kid. But I know that my high schooler and age 12-to-16 fans don’t know what ‘Pet Sounds’ is. They don’t know who Brian Wilson himself is. So this is going to be really legendary.”

Ashe first broke onto the music scene with 2019’s “Moral of the Story,” a lyrical tale of love lost that was borne out of her then-recent decision to file for divorce. To date, the song’s video has more than 23 million views on YouTube, buoyed by a spot in the Netflix film To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.

Co-written and produced by Finneas O’Connell (brother and musical collaborator of Billie Eilish), the song has taken off in a huge way since it was premiered by Ashe a year ago — and she’s now teaming up with some of her musical pals to toast the legendary Beach Boys record.

Signed on to participate in this special YouTube stream will be Finneas, Ryan Tedder, Bishop Briggs, Jacob Collier, AJR, Charlie Burg, Alexander 23, Maro, Max and Blake Rose.

Brian Wilson‘s social media channels gave this a signal boost, so you know it’s going to be a great show.

Be sure to find out more here and tune in on Saturday!
