Hear Ann Wilson Cover Queen’s “Love of My Life” with Vince Gill, from ‘Fierce Bliss’ Album Out 4/29

On April 29, Ann Wilson will release a new solo record, Fierce Bliss, which the legendary Heart singer/songwriter has been previewing in recent weeks.
The latest track shared from the record is a cover of Queen‘s “Love of My Life,” which Wilson recorded as a duet with Vince Gill. A powerful showcase of each singer’s formidable skills, the dramatic reinterpretation of the song can be heard below:
Said Ann Wilson of the cover in a statement:
“I had the idea for the Queen song ‘Love of My Life’ as a duet, so I just tried to picture who would be ‘the male angel’ that would sing the other part of it. I thought how great the song would be if it was stripped down and just sung with soul, and it had to be Vince Gill because he’s got that voice, that soul.”

Elsewhere on Fierce Bliss, Wilson covers Robin Trower’s “Bridge of Sighs.” In a new feature interview with Rock Cellar, she explained how she settled on that one:
“I’ve always loved that song. When it came out back in the ’70s, before I was even really recording, I just loved that song and I thought it was one of the best blues songs of all time. On a deep, dark, existential level, you’re teetering on the edge of the abyss in that song. So it was really great and of course, [guitarist] Kenny Wayne Shepherd really nailed it.”
.@AnnWilson on the creative mindset behind her recent work & new LP 'Fierce Bliss':
"Why did I even start to do this, and work so hard to make it happen? It’s all about the music. It’s all about having a voice. Having something to say & saying it."
