Back in June of 2021, AFI released Bodies, the alt/punk band‘s 11th studio album and first since 2017. A dark, moody album featuring some of the band’s strongest work in a while, Bodies is an intriguing addition to the versatile group’s shape-shifting career.

The veteran band had plans for a 2022 tour in support of the record, but on Monday the group announced that the outing has been postponed to the fall due to travel concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting things. The new dates include the band’s participation in the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas next October.

Given the current challenges that we are still facing at this stage of the pandemic, we have come to the very difficult decision to postpone The Bodies Tour to the fall of 2022. With Covid cases still on the rise, we fear that we will not be able to complete the tour the way it is currently scheduled, and moving it will hopefully give us a better chance to see it through to its entirety.

Because our Los Angeles shows do not require us to travel, these 2 dates will still be taking place in March. We will also be adding a new show in Anaheim, CA on 10/25 and Ventura, CA on 11/25 to the itinerary. We thank you for your understanding, and we hope you hold onto your tickets for the fall. Please contact your point of purchase if you have any questions.
