Back in January, Aerosmith announced plans for an epic 50th anniversary blowout concert at Fenway Park in Boston … but then the COVID-19 pandemic threw absolutely everything into chaos.

On Thursday, the rock and roll rabblerousers announced that the big 50th anniversary bash has officially been postponed, and will now take place at Fenway on Sept. 14, 2021, with special guests Extreme.

Said the band of the news:

“Out of an abundance of love and caution our 50th Anniversary Fenway show is being rescheduled to 14th September 2021. It’s better to look ahead and prepare than to look back and regret, for the safety of our families, for our crews, for the fans and for the Blue Army. All tickets will be honored for the new date so hold onto yours! Or if you are unable to make it, you’ll be able to request a refund. Ticket holders will be emailed with all details. Until then, stay safe and stay healthy. Big love from the Bad Boys of Boston.”

This news, which isn’t much of a surprise at all given the state of everything these days, comes after Aerosmith also pushed its European tour dates back to Summer 2021, a decision that was made in early June:

29 May Moscow, RS
02 June Zurich, CH
05 June Madrid, ES
08 June Lisbon, PT
11 June Milan, IT
