2022 Academy Award Nominations Announced; Oscars Set for 3/27 on ABC

The official list of 2022 Academy Award nominations was unveiled early Tuesday, ahead of the 94th Oscars ceremony on Sunday, March 27, starting at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Taking home the most nominations is The Power of the Dog, Jane Campion’s acclaimed drama starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirtsen Dunst and Jesse Plemons. The film, which premiered on Netflix, was nominated for 12 awards, including Campion as Best Director, which helped her make history as the first woman in history with two overall Best Director nominations in her career (the previous was for 1993’s The Piano).
