Separate from his full-time job as the lead vocalist in Deftones, Chino Moreno has always maintained a busy schedule on the side with adjacent projects. one of those, ††† (Crosses), has been among the most interesting — and on Dec. 9, Moreno and musical colleague Sean Lopez will release a new EP titled PERMANENT.RADIANT.

††† (Crosses) has debuted new songs earlier in the year, building up to this upcoming EP release. Back in April, the duo shared “Protection” and “Initiation,” premiering some additional new material in recent weeks.

And a bit of biographical information about the project:

Formed in 2011, the band released their self-titled debut album three years later. They recently returned to music and ended a hiatus with a surprise cover of Q Lazzarus’s cult classic “Goodbye Horses” and announced a new deal with Warner Records. Previously the group released another cover titled “Beginning of The End” originally by Cause & Effect. As they gear up for even more music to come this year, “Initiation” and “Protection” are the first signs that ††† (Crosses) are officially back.
